HRV nails allergies with new partnership - 01/05/2013
HRV is pointing the finger at allergies this Allergy Awareness Week - 13th to 19th May - partnering with Allergy New Zealand to help raise awareness for those who live with allergies.
The healthy home specialists have joined up with the team at Allergy New Zealand getting behind its 1 in 10 campaign. 1 in 10 will see New Zealanders painting one fingernail to show their support for over ten percent of Kiwi kids who battle an allergy every day.
HRV Chief Executive Bruce Gordon says the partnership is a critical one which will help put the spotlight on one of the biggest health issues facing this country.
"At HRV we see the effects allergens, and in particular airborne allergens, have on the health and wellbeing of families and have made it our mission to help rid our homes of these. Through organisations such as Allergy New Zealand, Kiwis are receiving invaluable support for their allergies.
"We are proud to have this opportunity to partner with them and help them continue their good work," he says.
HRV delivers world leading filtration with its nanofibre technology. Fitted with a filter that not only captures microscopic allergens and other harmful particles but is also infused with powerful antibacterial manuka, HRV ventilation systems create clean air, free from allergens, bacteria and pollen.
HRV is the only ventilation company in New Zealand to have received the Sensitive Choice blue butterfly, a trust mark that demonstrates the product's ability to reduce triggers for people with asthma and allergies.
Penny Jorgensen, Chief Executive for Allergy New Zealand, says the new partnership with HRV is an extremely positive one, aligning two organisations that have made an ongoing commitment to reducing the impact of allergens in Kiwi homes.
"We are delighted HRV have come on board to help the thousands of Kiwis living with allergies. One of our key missions is to educate allergy sufferers about taking preventative measures to manage the triggers that drive allergic reactions. The HRV ventilation system can be a great help, particularly for people affected by airborne allergens".
